Certex’s Impartiality Committee Chair, Michael McLean, to deliver a keynote address at IEEM 2024 Thailand

Michael McLean, our esteemed Impartiality Committee Chair, will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming IEEM 2024 (International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management), taking place from 15th–18th December in Bangkok, Thailand. As one of the world’s leading events for industrial engineering professionals, the conference is expected to bring together experts from various industries to share information about the latest advancements and innovations in the field.  

Michael’s keynote address titled "Industry and Manufacturing Strategies and Technologies in the Era of AI—Bridging Digital Horizons" will focus on both the risks and opportunities associated with artificial intelligence for businesses, industry, and manufacturing engineers.  

A Certified Management Consultant (ICMCI) and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Michael’s extensive career spans academia and industry. Based on his experience as a member of the ISO TC 176 Chair’s Strategy Advisory Group, ISO 9001 Revision WG 29, and ISO 9001 Brand Integrity TG02, he will also address the importance of ensuring AI systems are compatible with established standards like ISO 42001:2023 for quality management.
