Celebrating 20 Years of Certex

Hip-hip! Hooray! 

Way Back in 2004 

In the year Mark Zuckerberg co-launched Facebook and Google launched Gmail, our inspiring Managing Director, Dianne Gibert, brought Certex to life.  

What prompted this, you ask? 

Dianne has always had a passion for helping businesses grow and improving the strength of their capabilities and systems. This led her to a successful career in management consulting. 

However, Dianne became disillusioned and dissatisfied that once a consultant leaves the business, so too does the main champion for improvement and change.  Therefore, she was inspired to help organisations develop, not by relying on an individual driving change, but by creating long-term, sustainable improvement systems for them. 

In Dianne’s own words: 

 “We take the work we do in auditing very seriously, and we believe it will make a considerable difference to the business. 

Over the years, we have refined the ways in which we can be a better auditor for our clients. We try to focus on the successes of the organisation, identify the risks that the organisation faces, and understand the industry in which the organisation operates.” 

20 Years Later 

Today, Certex is proud to be an Australian owned and operated JAS-ANZ accredited business. Our services have expanded from ISO and industry standard audits to more targeted risk assessments with iSuite.  

We have been accredited with JAS-ANZ since 2012 for certification in quality, safety and environmental management standards. We are currently seeking to expand our JAS-ANZ accreditation scope to include ISO 27001 information security management systems. 

While maintaining our strong roots in recruitment, labour hire, construction, and manufacturing, we are also proud of our growing presence in the defence and privacy spaces.

Looking Ahead 

Laws regarding worker safety, contractor management, and data breaches are getting harsher. There is also increasing emphasis on psychosocial safety. Now, more than ever, compliance and risk management should be front-of-mind for all businesses.  

Society is also holding businesses accountable to higher standards. As we have seen many times, failure to protect workers, protect consumers, and ‘do the right thing’ comes with disastrous reputational (and financial) consequences.  

At Certex, we will continue to instill compliance, discipline, and integrity in everything we do, and we hope to support our clients to achieve the same in their processes and procedures. 

According to Dianne: 

“It is our role to support our clients fully utilise their management systems to the benefit of their organisation and their stakeholders. We are delighted when we see our clients grow, strengthen, and expand. We know that they do not do it because of the system, but we know they could not do it without the system.”
