Highlights from the Avalon Airshow 2025

This year’s Avalon Airshow was particularly significant for Certex, it’s the first year that Certex has participated as an exhibitor. Dianne Gibert (Managing Director) and Alicja Gardini (General Manager) represented Certex at the SME Showcase stand.  

A huge thank you is due to Mark Korsten (AUKUS Jobs) and Mary Powell (Sayres Australia) from the SME Showcase stand for facilitating us at the event and ensuring we had a seamless experience. 

It was a great opportunity for us to meet and connect with numerous professionals from the defence industry and get a deeper look into the latest developments and trends. We had the opportunity to meet some of our clients, including John McCluskey, Managing Director of Whizdom IT Recruitment, and from DMTC, we met up with Mark Hodge, CEO; Harry Baxter, Head of Government Relations; and Miles Kenyon, Head of Maritime Strategy.

And of course, the airshow itself was a highlight, with some remarkable exhibits and breathtaking aerial performances that added an extra thrill to the experience. Our hearts and thoughts are with the pilot from Friday’s unfortunate crash, Glenn Collins, and his loved ones. We wish him a speedy recovery. 

All in all, Avalon 2025 was an unforgettable experience, and we can’t wait for the next one in 2027!
